Bhutan

Bhutan is one of the few countries in the world that has never been colonized, maintaining its independence and preserving its culture, traditions, and way of life. This is reflected in how the country feels today. Set in the eastern Himalayas between India and China, Bhutan is defined by steep mountains, forested valleys, and a network of small villages connected by winding roads and footpaths. Much of daily life is still shaped by Tibetan Buddhism, visible in monasteries built into cliffs, prayer flags strung across high passes, and seasonal rhythms tied to agriculture.
